If you have ever driven through the country side in Portugal and stopped at one of the ancient vineyards, you will have experienced its feudal charm: dark wood, chandeliers, stone floors, antique furnishing and a warm and friendly welcome with venerable wines. You get the same feeling in “Boni Mores“.
In this new Dommeldange delicatessen, Tiago Coelho, Ricardo Chaves and António Marques offer top Portuguese products of outstanding quality. There are mainly wines: red- and white wines from the Douro, Dão, Setúbal and Alentejo regions, sparkling wines and of course Madeira, Port (the brand “Castello d’Alba”) and Moscatel. There are also jams and honey, olive oils, tinned fish (particularly tuna), very traditionally wrapped in paper, and tea. The latter is a rarity as it comes from the Azores and is the only tea produced in Europe.
At the fresh foods counter, you can get for example Pata Negra products and an assortment of cheeses. If you have never visited Portugal, visiting Boni Mores could be the start of an abiding passion for this south-European country.
