There’s nothing like a fresh healthy portion of stone oven-baked goodness, especially if it’s from the “Oiko Backhaus” (Oiko bakery). There’s no doubt that founder Fränk Obertin, will tease you with an array of deliciously healthy breads and tempting pastries with a twist.
Old is gold: many local establishments continue to produce breads and pastries according to traditional Luxembourger practices. The “Oiko bakery” applies three important principles to products produced in-house: fine taste, product diversity and natural, organic ingredients. Obertin’s breads are prepared using organic whole wheat flour, producing natural sourdough breads, some even without the addition of yeast.
Traditions that began at their first bakery in Remerschen are continued at their new premises in Munsbach since the summer of 2013.
