Artful dining in Ca(fé)sino

by Good Idea | Comment I’m the dealerUpdate

For its 20th birthday, “Casino Luxembourg”, the forum of contemporary art in the center of the city, has given itself a true gem of a present. The restaurant “ca(fé)sino” in the newly restored Salon Saint-Hubert. With this sophisticated new brasserie style restaurant, the more than hundred year-old culinary tradition of Casino Luxembourg has been revived.

And you sit right at the center of things… at a long table, surrounded by wooden floors, stucco, modern decor with artistic touches such as the literally illuminating neon-artwork “Zeitgeist – Karl Cobain”. At Johan Herelixka and Laurent Bouchend’homme’s restaurant, you will experience the exclusive French way of life – and far more than one would expect from a museum’s restaurant.

On the menu you will find, probably unique in the world, “Bouchée à la Grande-Duchesse“, a spicy steak tartar – served traditionally at the table and various mouthwatering daily suggestions. From 3 pm, Ca(fé)sino offers a smaller but no less creative menu that includes a selection of home-made patisserie. Olden day splendor is back, and the pearl shines bright again… let yourself be enchanted, whether you’re interested in art or not!

Good Idea : At last, another great place for brunch: on Sundays you can take your seat at the big table from 11 am until 3 pm and help yourself from the generous buffet (price per person 24 Euro).
Johan and Laurent work on the principle of “organic-intelligent”, meaning not organic at all costs but if it makes sense and mainly if it comes from local producers.
The restaurant offers many local products, including exclusively Luxembourgish wines.
