In the newly designed square ‘Place du Brill’ in Esch-sur-Alzette, there is a Mediterranean flair at noon on this summer’s day. We are sitting in “Oishii“, a Japanese bistro that opened at the start of the summer.
Lounge music, the wind rustling in the bamboo on the small terrace, the lunch menu in front of us features soup, sushi and a small salad. For those who don’t like sushi, you can easily find something else as Oishii has many other Asian dishes on their menu.
In the evening Oishii transforms itself into a stylish hotspot. There is a huge variety of drinks on offer at the bar, and it’s funny how, when sipping a cocktail, in an interestingly lit environment with cool music playing, the stress of a normal working day is soon forgotten. Something is definitely happening in Esch… Oishii is one of several places bringing new flair into the second biggest town in Luxembourg.
