Book after book: a piece of Italy.

by Good Idea | Comment I’m the dealerUpdate

Italians love good food, children, great thinkers, artists, men of letters – and we love Italy. The many different facets of Italy simply wont fit between the two covers of a book, but perhaps between a few thousand?! At the “Libreria Italiana“ in Luxembourg-city, Italians and lovers of Italy meet and share their passion for literature.

Each week the owner, Luisa Spagnolli, follows new book releases, reads reviews and makes her very personal selection of books, comics and DVDs. She also regularly organizes readings by the authors. Avid readers also meet in the “Club del Libro” for literary discussions, while the younger little readers can go on Saturdays and have the new stories read to them. Your knowledge of Italian is not yet perfect? No problem, you can also get Italian literary classics in simplified, easy-to-read versions.

Your favourite book isn’t in stock? The shop will have it for you within a week, or for an additional charge it can be posted straight to your home. You can also exchange books you have read: you deposit them in the “Lascia”-box and take another in exchange from the “Prendi”-box – from reader to reader. So, “Ciao” and “Alla prossima”.
