www.goodidea.lu is a space for free discussion. All visitors can take part by posting comments and advice about shopping and/or going out in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, hereafter referred to as tips. The blog is also a shop window via which the clc can highlight shops, restaurants, cafés and other commercial establishments considered to be “trendy” in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The Company advises users that these terms can be changed at any time. All changes will be published on the Site and all users accessing the Site after their publication will be presumed to have accepted the changes.
Conditions of acceptance for publication on the “Good Idea” website. It is up to the Company to publish the articles proposed by “Good Idea”.
The articles must describe tips that meet the following criteria:
They must be innovative,
- represent something new that stands out from the majority of other professionals,
- introduce new ideas,
- innovate with regard to the architecture and design of the shop/restaurant/café/commercial establishment,
- sell or offer innovative, unusual or original products or services,
- reflect progress in various areas (products, services, locations etc.),
- reflect progress in technology in terms of the products and/or services.
They must be “trendy” and “modern”,
- sell or offer products and/or services relating to fashion,
- offer new activities/artistic events in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg,
- have a specific/unique orientation,
- be remarkable, cause astonishment and surprise through unusual characteristics that go against tradition,
- sell or offer products and/or services belonging to the present day or a recent period,
- which have been made recently, and often in a different way from before,
- aim to represent the avant-garde of fashion,
- aim at a public living in the present, who adopt the tastes and ideas of their time.
They must be “young”,
- not have existed for long,
- seek modern forms of expression,
- sell or offer products or services designed to match the styles of young people as they constitute a social group, a generation.
The café, restaurant, shop, service or product must be located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Commercial events taking place in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg are eligible for publication on the blog.
They must not be “traditional”,
- be founded on a tradition, or be consistent with a tradition or customs,
- sell or offer products or services that have become a habit through long use.
They must not be “classic”,
- be faithful to tradition,
- sell or offer products and/or services consistent with common practice,
- sell or offer products and/or services that do not deviate from common practice and established rules,
- sell or offer products and/or services that are usual or ordinary,
- simply reproduce a tested concept.
The Company reserves the right to publish tips in other media than the www.goodidea.lu blog. The media in question will select the tips they wish to publish from among those present on the blog. The clc cannot be held responsible for the publication of tips from the site in other media.
The Company allows users to publish their tips on Internet social networks. Once the information has been relayed by a social network, the Company is not responsible for how the information is disseminated.
With regard to the page www.saturday.goodidea.lu, only venues located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg open after 6 p.m. on Saturday are eligible for publication. For more information, contact the Company on firstname.lastname@example.org.
a/ Relating to the Site
The content of the site, including but not limited to all logos, brands and photos on the Site www.goodidea.lu, are protected under intellectual property law or any other legal provision applicable in the particular case. The Company holds all the associated rights, except for content expressly attributed to others.
Logos, brands and other content belonging to the Company on the site may not be reproduced, distributed or adapted without permission, for either commercial or non-commercial purposes.
Users may reproduce the content of the Site for information only and strictly for private use in the absence of any provisions to the contrary.
The Company respects the intellectual property rights of third parties and all the legal provisions in force to protect the interests of third parties. The Company takes all the steps possible within the means at its disposal to ensure that the site does not infringe any protected rights.
However, if you think the site may breach any of your protected rights, the Company’s Publication Director can remove the content concerned on receipt of written notification from the copyright holder at the address above.
b/ Relating to the User
The Site allows users to contribute content directly to the Site.
Any user wishing to publish content on the Site must first complete the relevant form with all the information required (name, e-mail address, title and description of the tips).
The User’s validation of the form is considered to represent:
- authorisation by the User for the publication manager to publish the tip on Luxembourg on the Site free of charge,
- the User’s declaration that he or she is the sole owner of any intellectual property rights associated with the tip on Luxembourg, or that he or she has obtained permission from its author to publish the tip in this way, mentioning the author’s name.
All users requesting the publication of a Luxembourg tip undertake to respect the intellectual property rights associated with all content (article, image, photo etc.).
As the publication manager cannot check the rights associated with the tip, the User is presumed to be the holder of these rights until evidence to the contrary is presented.
Consequently, the company invites any third parties to inform it of any infringement of their rights by sending a written request to remove the article by e-mail or post to the addresses stated above.
Without prejudice to the legal provisions in force, the Company disclaims any liability in the event of any infringement of the intellectual property rights of third parties.
Rules of publication/contribution
The Site allows Users to interact directly on the Site by publishing articles and comments.
Users have full responsibility for their contributions. All Users must therefore ensure that they comply with the criteria mentioned above, the rights of others and the accuracy of their content before requesting the publication of their contributions.
In compliance with the rules regarding the publication of all content, the Company moderates all contributions by Users.
This moderation involves reading the comments after their publication, and removing them if they do not meet the above criteria.
In this context, the Company reserves the right to refuse and/or remove any contributions which:
1 – Contravene decency, public order, the laws and regulations in force or the rights of others,
2 – Contain language that is defamatory, violent or inciting violence, abusive, obscene, offensive, discriminatory, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, pornographic, pedophile, revisionist or negationist.
3 – Make reference to illegal activities in any form, including the unauthorised reproduction, representation or distribution of software, trademarks, photographs, pictures, text or music samples.
4 – Contain content that is not relevant to the topics covered on the site, and in particular tips for shopping and going out in Luxembourg.
5 – Directly or indirectly provide an address or other details of a third person identifying the person and/or his or her location.
Moderation is carried out within the limits of the Company’s resources. This means that contributions may be removed at any time, and in particular on receipt of notification from third parties that the rules above have not been respected.
The Company enables users to share their tips on Internet social networks. It is in no way responsible for web users’ comments on these social networks.
The composition and posting of a „Good Idea“/ the „Good Idea of the Fans” competition
Compose and post a „Good Idea“ for a chance to win a 100 Euro (one hundred) reward per entry. To participate in this weekly competition, kindly provide the following details:
- Insertion of personal contact details (Surname, First name, Email address)
- Add your „Good Idea“ heading
- Classification of the „Good Idea“ into one of the predefined categories listed
- Compose your „Good Idea“ (Between 50 to 120 characters)
- Compose a passage describing the place/local surrounding and the key services it provides etc. (Between 500 to 1000 characters)
- Street, postal code, locality and telephone number of the described „Good Idea“
- Upload at least 3 photos of sufficient quality related to the presented „Good Idea“
- In accordance with the Terms and Conditions
All entries – provided they meet the criteria listed in the preceding paragraphs – will be published after careful moderation by the Company in the respective categories. The entries have to treat new topics, not yet published on the blog.
The Good Idea entries should be written in the correct forms of the English, German, French or Luxembourgish language. One out of all the weekly Good Ideas submitted will be selected by the Company, translated into the other blog languages and shall appear published on the homepage under the heading “Good Idea of the Fans”.
The Company reserves the right to withhold the 100 Euros reward if no article is submitted that meets the required standards. Similarly, the Company reserves the rights to modify the terms and conditions, adjust the cash prize granted and to suspend all activities concerning the competition within the period of one week.
Links to other websites
The Site may contain links to other websites. We do not control these other sites and cannot monitor or verify their contents. It is your responsibility to review the policies of each blog/website you visit. In particular, we cannot control the practices of third-party sites with regard to the collection and processing of personal data and respect for privacy, even if these sites have a link to the Good Idea blog. It is your responsibility to review the Company’s policies on respect for privacy, but also the policies of any blog or site linked to the Site, and to ensure that you only use sites whose content and usage rules you accept.
The Company disclaims any responsibility for any link on an external site leading to the Site. The Site may not be associated with the site containing the link and its content without the express authorisation of the Company.
The Company regularly updates the content and facilities provided on the site to allow access to and use of the website under the best conditions for the user.
However, the Company cannot guarantee that all the content presented on the Site is accurate, complete and up to date. The Company recommends that users check the content, using the contact details for example, before using it. The Company disclaims any liability for the User’s use of the content, and its responsibility is limited to the provisions in the article “Intellectual Property of the Site”.
Consequently, the user is fully aware that the content presented on the Site is given for guidance only.
