Artisanal candles produced in Luxembourg

by Good Idea | Comment I’m the dealerUpdate

Since 1885, a small workshop has been making candles using traditional techniques in Esch-sur-Sure (Sauer), the north of Luxembourg. The “Käerzefabrik Peters” took over this tradition in the 90s, expanding the production of artisanal candles.

Today, thousands of candles are produced and hand-decorated in Heiderscheid each year. The use of high quality raw materials guarantees first-class products. In addition to candles and candlesticks, other objects of art are also produced and sold. Peters also specializes in the restoration of vintage candlesticks.

A selection of over 13,000 products can be found spread over their 300 m² surface area store: Decorative candles, candles for special occasions; birthdays, weddings, christenings, first communion, as well as lamps, pictures and much more.

What’s more, instructions on how to light candles can be found on the “Käerzefabrik Peters”’s website.

Good Idea : Take a look behind the scenes of traditional candle production: Peters offers guided tours in Luxembourgish, French, German and Dutch.
