It was a dark and rainy day when we visited Katty Chacun-Karapédian in the premises of “Retrouvailles Concept”. Inside it was bright and homely, you could even say cozy. Separated only by the road from the Moselle, this jewel of Luxembourgish creativity combines art, design and craft under one roof. The concept store shares the space with craftsman’s offices, artists and dealers. There are various areas dedicated for exhibitions, including a painting and photographic gallery – where exhibits change every two months, as well as areas for antiques, and products from designers and craftsmen.
Katty is the interior design coach and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday afternoons she loves to personally guide you through this exceptional designer world. Despite its showroom character, you can still buy most of the things that you see – and possibly package them up and take them with you. Various specialists have established themselves in the craftsman’s area, each of them dedicated to the core “Retrouvailles Concept” that focuses on the stylish and coherent renovation of historic buildings. There is a dedicated exhibition area reserved for innovative sanitary extension projects.
In this unique Design-Jewel you will find a totally different side to Luxembourg, far from the financial center and shopping malls. Why not combine your visit with a trip on the Moselle or take time to explore the various wine cellars of the region? We are looking forward to hear what you think!
