«Coiffure Raths » has been hairdressing the Luxembourg royal court since 1986. Marcel Raths would make personal house calls along with his professional hairdresser’s case in hand to give the former Grand Duke Jean a haircut in the monarch’s private study at the Royal residence in Colmar-berg.
One day as Marcel entered, the former Grand Duke stood beside his desk and received Marcel Raths by saying: “ You won’t be needing your bag today”. Baffled by these words, Marcel was over the moon to discover that he’d been invited to be honored with the title “Coiffeur de la Cour” instead; an experience he relives fondly each day!
What Grand Duke Jean appreciated at that time, continues to be treasured by customers today: creativity, professional advice and always making the customer feel like a king!
Tuesdays to Fridays from 8 to 12 a.m. and from 1 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 7 to 12 a.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m.
