You can’t get any cosier than this: it’s dark and windy outside, the first snow is falling, but it’s softly glowing and warm inside, full of pleasant homely aromas. Our first visit to the “Epicerie am Duerf“ in the small village of Schrondweiler exceeded all of our expectations.
As a visitor you are immediately absorbed into the timeless corner-store atmosphere – or more precisely into Nathalie Meiers’ atmosphere. In realising her dream she has also awakened her sleepy little village. The “Epicerie am Duerf” is in a lovingly restored historic building, with its oldest part dating back to 1784. You’ll find whatever you want for your everyday needs here, as well as many original products that make perfect gifts. At the fresh food counter you’ll find baked products, cheese and cold meats.
The unique concept of “Epicerie am Duerf” combines grocery store, lunch-café, catering services and even two guestrooms as well as a conference room for up to 35 people! So, if you fancy taking a break from the stressful city-life, come and relax in the “Epicerie am Duerf” where historic ambience is masterfully combined with the most modern of comforts. Nathalie’s motto sums it up: “Häerz wat begiers de!“… or “Everything your heart desires!“
